Dave and I responded to a call from Jim Maya this morning reporting a pod of whales off Eagle Point this morning. We found most of J pod in mid-Haro Strait, but they spread out and headed SW into the Strait of Juan de Fuca, passing on both sides of Constance Bank. Mallard left them south of Beecher Bay at 1630, heading west.

Just watching a small pod of orcas off Eagle Cove (San Juan Island) feeding – with a small calf at 7:30 am. There may be more than the two adults that we are seeing.
